I spy a collection title.

Also "Nope, verily, nope." 🤣

Ouch! This reminds me of my father and me walking over one of those bridges. I was terrified, probably because I heard someone telling the scary stories about kids falling in. I clung to my father. I probably screamed, which would have been appropriate. It's a little hell on Earth.

In college I took a geology course on the advice of a friend. I found it overwhelming in data memorization and boring. But now -

Bare Feet Prayer

Calloused soles feel

green grass blades

rooted in loam

over clay subsoil

layered atop bedrock

covering unfathomable strata.

Bare toes acquiesce.

I whisper

I am

not

in control.

“Because of Christ and our faith in him, we can now come boldly and confidently into God’s presence.”

— ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭3‬:‭12‬‬ NLT

Deuteromy and Hebrew’s refer to God as a consuming fire. (Had to look up the addresses). How different is that then a roiling cauldron of liquid?

I often find that we approach the Throne of Grace with much less caution than we ought. I think we can get much more than we expect in our “what a friend we have in Jesus” approach.

Not that we don’t have a friend. We do.And we need to remember as Mr Beaver warned us, He’s neither tame nor safe, and He is good.

Yellowstone does have a bit of Revelation 20 vibe, especially the Dragon's Mouth Spring (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dUEgY2KADLI), one of my personal favorites.

Did the National Park Service commission Banksy to design those warning signs?
