Lindsey, Jeremy, Mark, Kim, Peter -

What depth of thought and a craftsmanship there is in your poems! I could easily use each one as a meditation or prayer prompt. Each one could be used to initiate a discussion, especially with a church study group. And if I was teaching creative writing, I could share them to show how the acrostic form can “work” in varied ways. I’m honored to be on the same page with you.

Thank you, Tania, for being our teacher and encourager.

I'm a novice poet, to say the least, but this was a blast. Writing it felt like solving a puzzle, and I'm thrilled to have it included. What an encouragement. Thank you, Tania, and great workshop!

Novice? You could have fooled me! So glad you enjoyed it!

Damn! I forgot.

Idiot I am!

Don’t miss next month,

I make a mental note.

Don’t be an Urkel I say to me.

Only Steve Urkel would miss

Two times in a row.

How stupid THAT would be.

And grievous for Poet Jesus and

Tanya!

Jeremy is an exceptionally honest young man. I see you, brother, and you're not the first to know this body of death. It's hard to feel that "no condemnation." Your faith is well placed in the risen, spotless one. But thanks be to God, through Jesus Christ our Lord!

Thanks Mark! I’m still learning ways God is so much better than who I make him out to be. I really appreciate the encouragement!

I wrote a poem this morning, read this post, then revised it into an acrostic. I can only hope it approaches the goodness of these acrostic poems shared here. Well done, y'all!

That’s great to hear, Megan! Maybe I will revise ALL of my poems into acrostics! It’s a bit addicting.
